Cornering The Wrong Market – Opinions From E. Curtis Johnson
He doesn’t realize it, but President Obama has a strategy for ISIS. America gave weapons to Syrian rebels. ISIS captured the weapons. America sold weapons to the Saudi’s, who resold them to Syrian rebels and ISIS. The Arab League chief wants Arab countries to make a "clear and firm decision for a…”confrontation" with "cancerous and terrorist" groups like ISIS. It’s long past time for the Middle East takes out it’s own trash.
However, America sells weapons to Arab League nations. Carl Sandburg wrote, "Suppose They Gave a War and No One Came." Charlotte E. Keys popularized the phase in McCall’s magazine. We’re about to give a war where everyone comes and America supplies the weapons for both sides. Cornering the market is pure capitalism. Unfortunately, America’s cornered the military arms market. We have the strategy the military industrial complex gave us, and which President Eisenhower warned us about, in the 1950’s.
I’m E. Curtis Johnson. The sound of, “Boom,” in war is being drowned out by, “cha-ching!”
