Russia gives China gas! More accurately, Russia just agreed to sell China $400 billion worth of natural gas. This should give the West indigestion. Russian and Chinese relations have been strained for centuries. Now they’re trading partners. Fifty two percent of Russia’s economy comes from energy sales. Certainly its coincidental that Russia invaded Crimea, which has untapped oil reserves.Obviously, Russia annexed Crimea because it’s a cool resort area!

China and Vietnam recently had a physical altercation in the South China Sea after the Chinese built an oilrig in waters claimed by Vietnam. China also just completed its first aircraft carrier. Certainly China wouldn’t build more aircraft carriers that need fuel! Meanwhile, back in the good ole’ US of A, the Keystone XL pipeline looks as dead a fish in a fracking pond. I’m all for saving the environment. I just wonder whom we’re saving it for?
