Power Outages Across Montana
On Thursday afternoon, widespread power outages were reported across the state. One outage was caused by a power line falling off its pole which sparked a fire west of Bozeman. A NorthWestern Energy spokesperson said the line should have bypassed to a substation but it was down for maintenance. The power was sent to a second line, but it was overloaded. Approximately 15,000 customers were reported to be affected.
