One Shot Short Of A Hat Trick – Opinions From E. Curtis Johnson [VIDEO]
The irony drips off this story like human growth hormone off the end of a syringe. Multiple news sources report that while cleaning his gun, Jose Conseco shot his middle finger. Yes, that middle finger. How apropos. Especially considering what Conseco symbolically did to baseball’s image during revelations of juicing as a major league baseball player. He figuratively shot his career in the foot while shooting steroids. Now he’s literally shot himself in the finger. One shot to the leg and Jose could complete his hat trick. In an interview with Mike Wallace, of the CBS news magazine, 60 Minutes, Conseco said about his juicing. “"I don't recommend steroids for everyone…but…I truly believe, because I've experimented with it for so many years, that it can make an average athlete a super athlete. It can make a super athlete incredible. Just legendary." My name is E. Curtis Johnson. I’ll bet Conseco has so much ‘roid juice in his system, his finger will grow back. No truth to the rumor that Pete Rose said, “I’ll take that bet!”
