Missoula Police Nab Woman For Stealing A Vehicle
At about 10 Thursday morning, Missoula Police received a call about a suspicious vehicle. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says there was a request for extra patrol at a business in the 3100 block of Brooks Street.
“The complainant had described a vehicle that had been sitting in their parking lot for sometime and it was occupied by several individuals,” Welsh said. “Officers arrived and made contact with the persons in the car and discovered that the car had been reported stolen in another state. The officers began to question the occupants. Detectives were called to the scene and some field interviews were conducted. At the conclusion, 27-year-old Allison Wessling was taken into custody for the offense of felony theft. The investigation revealed that she was the one that took the vehicle without authority.”
According to Welsh, there was no address listed for Wessling and she is identified as being transient. It appears she has recently traveled between Washington State and Montana.
