We caught up with Montana's US Senator-elect Tim Sheehy (R-MT) for the first time in our radio studios this week as he was in town for the Montana Farm Bureau's 105th annual convention. He tells us that it is time to put on the rocket boosters for the America First agenda.

After his first official visit to Washington, I had to joke with Senator-elect Sheehy, a fellow combat veteran, about how young he and his wife (also a combat veteran) are. Did they think you guys were the college interns? He said they definitely got mistaken for staff or visitors on occasion.

We discussed his experiences at the Farm Bureau convention where he highlighted the relief felt among farmers and ranchers that the incoming Trump Administration will keep the tax cuts in place and relieve the regulatory burden facing their industry. He also criticized the national media's portrayal of Trump's nominees, particularly Tulsi Gabbard, and emphasized the importance of constitutional adherence in judicial appointments.

Senator-elect Sheehy noted the need for a swift implementation of the America First agenda and expressed concern about potential last-minute legislative actions by the Biden administration.

Senator-elect Sheehy: "Everyone realizes the mandate was given that the highest popular vote ever gotten by Republican President, electoral landslide, House, Senate- it's time to get things done. And the most important thing I can do as a newly elected senator is help strap rocket boosters to the America First agenda and just get things done as fast as we can."
