Attorney General Austin Knudsen (R-MT) tore into the Gallatin County Attorney for standing in the way of ICE. Knudsen called the Democrat prosecutor a Soros prosecutor and liberal "lightweight" when it comes to the law.

Montana's Attorney General was just back from the southern border where he was joined alongside several other attorneys general from across the country. He joined us on the radio Friday to recap the trip.

AG Knudsen: "We knew there were a lot of illegals being dumped in Montana. We didn't know where. It didn't take us long to figure out it was Bozeman, it was Gallatin County. It didn't take long for us to start feeling that from a law enforcement standpoint, and I know the folks in Bozeman certainly have felt that as well. Lot of drug seizures have gone up, and it's not difficult to see why the cartels have pivoted to Gallatin County. There's a lot of affluence there. There's a lot of money. You got Big Sky right there, average home price in Bozeman is now a million bucks. This just isn't long division. So it's not surprising that the cartels would target that affluent, wealthy area. That's exactly what has happened here.

The AG confirmed that ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) would not work with state officials under the Biden Administration. Now, he says we are in a whole new world under President Donald Trump, and ICE actually wants to do something about the illegal alien crisis.

Knudsen talked about how his Highway Patrol Troopers and DCI agents are training with and being deputized by ICE.  The problem now, he sayd, is finding a dedicated place to keep the illegal aliens that are detained and placed on a temporary hold. ICE came up with an agreement that was financially beneficial to Gallatin County, but the local county attorney stood in the way.

AG Knudsen: "I got to tell you, I didn't think we had a Soros county attorney in Montana, but let me tell you about Audrey Cromwell, the county attorney in Gallatin County. My heavens. What a lightweight. She has weighed into this and started throwing around just liberal screed ideology trying to block ICE from using the Gallatin County Detention Center. It's so light on policy and so light on legal rationale. It's embarrassing. She's just throwing out emotional talking points trying to scare people in Gallon County into not supporting this."
