We have a new Chief Justice of the Montana Supreme Court with Cory Swanson, who is really working hard to restore fairness and integrity to the court, but he's gonna need some more backup.

That's where Judge Dan Wilson comes in.

Flathead County District Court Judge Dan Wilson joined us on the radio Wednesday morning with the exclusive announcement that he would be running for the Montana Supreme Court in 2025. He announced his intention to seek the Montana Supreme Court seat being vacated by Justice Beth Baker.  (Full audio of the conversation is in the podcast below)

According to the press release that later was sent to media across the state, Wilson received over a quarter million votes in his first statewide campaign. The judge "is seeking to bring a conservative judicial philosophy to the state’s high court."

Judge Dan Wilson: "As a native Montanan and a conservative, I firmly believe Supreme Court Justices must apply the law and the constitution as written to all their rulings.  As your next Montana Supreme Court Justice, I pledge to follow that guiding conservative principle. I will not be beholden to any special interest group’s agenda, and recognize that the court’s role is to interpret the law as written – not create it."

By the way, this is the judge who stood for freedom and common sense during COVID-19.

I first met Judge Dan Wilson in Malta, Montana. I was doing a LIVE statewide radio show with a bunch of local hunters. Judge Wilson was visiting family in Phillips County and talking about his campaign for Montana Supreme Court in "the forgotten corner" of the state- Northeast Montana.
