Red Kettles from Salvation Army Coming Soon to Billings
It's that time of the year again. Soon the entrances to your favorite shopping spots will be accentuated with the sound of little bells. That ringing is to remind you that others need your generosity.
The Salvation Army will soon be out in force with the Red Kettles, asking for your donations during the Holiday season. Please give whatever small change and dollar bills you can spare.
The mission of the Salvation Army is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ while also providing essential human services to as many as possible, without discrimination. Their 1.8 members assisted 27 million in America last year and do good works in 134 countries around the world.
Billings Red Kettle Kickoff, Saturday, November 9th, 9:00 a.m.
You are cordially invited to a Launch Breakfast for the Billings Salvation Army's Red Kettles. A friendly competition between Cats and Griz will happen, so come support your fav team. Volunteer opportunities will be available, along with Prizes!
The Kickoff will be at the Salvation Army located at 2100 6th Avenue N in Billings. You can RSVP to Felecia at 406-281-7433 or go to this Salvation Army link to get a free ticket to the party and to make an optional online donation.
And this season, when you see the volunteer bell ringer out in the winter air, please say Hi. And when the day is cold, please buy them a hot drink or those hand or foot warmer pads. They are braving the elements to nurture goodwill in the world, and that cause is worth relieving your pockets or purse of that chunk of loose coins.
Lightening your load will lighten the spirit.
