Great Falls Man Charged with Child Endangerment
Q2 reports that Cody James Manywhitehorses of Great Falls has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly exposed a minor to methamphetamine. According to court documents, child welfare officials from the Department of Family Services took hair samples from three children that were in the care of their mother, as well as Manywhitehorses. One sample tested positive for exposure to meth. DFS requested hair samples from Manywhitehorses and the children’s mother. Her hair sample did not test positive for exposure to meth, but Manywhitehorses refused to provide a hair sample, claiming he didn’t live in the house– which he did– and it was against his Native American heritage. He claimed his hair was shorter due to the recent death of his father– who officials later determined had passed away about 18 years ago.
