Beartooth Pass Open To Vista Point; Closes For Season In 5-7 Days
The Montana Department of Transportation has reopened Beartooth Pass, up to Vista Point on the Montana side. The Beartooth Pass closed for the season on the Wyoming side a few weeks ago.
According to the MDT press release, Beartooth Pass will officially close for the season in the next 5 to 7 days. So, unless weather conditions change, US 212 is now open, 12 miles south of Red Lodge.
Travelers on the Beartooth Pass should always stay alert for rapidly changing weather conditions that could include ice and frost.
