‘True Blood’ Season 6 Trailer: No One Lives Forever!
For as much as we enjoyed the recent "Waiting Sucks" teasers and the recent bottle spot, it was high time 'True Blood' season 6 spurted out a full trailer! The latest look into the June 16 premiere offers up plenty of blood, bodies and battles as the vampires go to war with the humans, but how long will it be before heads start to roll? No one lives forever, so check out the badass full trailer for 'True Blood' season 6 inside!
You wanted another does of 'True Blood,' and here it is! In advance of the sixth season premiere on June 16, HBO has served up our best look yet at the new year for 'True Blood,' and if you'll pardon the parlance, it's going to be bloody.
The war between vampires and humanity definitely seems to kick into high gear, as all our favorite vamps find themselves hunted in one manner or another, while Louisiana Governor (no, not THAT Governor) Truman Burell ('Rubicon's Arliss Howard) ominously snarls "it's time for humans to bite back!" And speaking of biters, Bill (or Billith?) seems to have ditched the all-red look, along with vampire goddess Lillith, though the newly deified Compton no longer seems subject to the weaknesses and rules of other vampires!
We also get our first look at new characters like the mysterious Macklyn, and Sookie's new Fae love interest, and a few fleeting glimpses of the peripheral characters, including new packmaster Alcide. Here's hoping the regulars have less tangential stories this time around (no more fire demons!).
Along with the showrunner swap changing from Mark Hudis to Bryan Buckner, season 5 guest star and former ‘Last Resort’ star Robert Patrick has been upgraded to series regular, while ‘True Blood’ season 6 also features the return of Anna Camp‘s Sarah Newlin, Luke Grimes as the “Jim Morrison of vampires,” ‘House‘s’ Karolina Wydra, Rutger Hauer as mysterious vampire Macklyn, ‘Rubicon’s’ Arliss Howard as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell, and ‘Eastenders’ star Robert Kazinsky as a series regular and new Fae love interest to Sookie.
Few other details are available on the sixth season of HBO’s fang-banging hit, though it’s known that ‘True Blood’ season 6 will take place over 10 episodes, down from the usual 12, largely to accommodate series star Anna Paquin’s pregnancy with co-star Stephen Moyer.
