Montana has its fair share of Veterans, men, and women who have served this great state and country. This Veterans Day, let's all remember their sacrifice.

Here's a class act way to honor our veterans this week! This Saturday, November 12th, a Veterans' celebration dinner, and dance will take place at the Elks Lodge in Butte. Please show your support for the men and women who have fought for our country, and continue to do so with this honorable gathering. The Marine Corps Reserve will also be on site for their TOYS FOR TOTS Butte Campaign fundraiser. Here's the breakdown: A No-Host Cocktail Hour will begin at 5 p.m., a Flag Ceremony at 6 p.m., Dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by LIVE music at 8 p.m. by JST Us. If you're driving down the road, and see the stars and stripes rolling down the train tracks- give it another look. Also plastered on the side of the Montana Rail Link is the words "Thank You Veterans."

Since I get to be in Glasgow for Veterans Day, that means I also have the great honor of hosting our statewide radio talk show from my home VFW Post earlier that same morning! As an Iraq, Afghan veteran I am also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. While my home is in Billings, my home VFW Post is in Glasgow (the Fort Peck Post).

Veterans Day may be an officially recognized holiday, but many veterans don't get a chance to enjoy the holiday. A bill being heard before the Montana Legislature would make sure that Montana veterans get the day off from work.

It was only fitting for Missoula County Attorney Kirsten Pabst to appear on Talk Back and promote the Veterans Court on Veteran's Day.

Senator Jon Tester announced at a Veterans Day ceremony in Missoula, that the U.S. Senate had unanimously passed nearly $2 billion in funding for the Veterans Administration.

At the Veterans Day ceremony Wednesday on the Missoula County Courthouse lawn, Montana senior Senator Jon Tester announced an appropriation of nearly $2 billion dollars for veterans health care. The vote was unanimous.
