On March 9th, a 2.7 magnitude earthquake shook South Hills near Helena, reminding Montanans of the importance of earthquake preparedness and safety measures.

The seismic events were felt by many people in the Gallatin Valley including Belgrade and Bozeman.

Unofficial reports are saying that an earthquake rattled western Montana just after midnight near Lincoln, and was felt in Corvallis and in Missoula.
