Billings Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics Montana will jump off Saturday, December 1st at Lake Elmo State Park. Participants will be "Freezin' For A Reason" as they take an icy dip into the lake starting at 1pm with registration from 11am-12:30pm.
This is the second of three years that Missoula is hosting the Montana Special Olympics Summer Games, and the opening ceremonies were held Wednesday night in Washington Grizzly Stadium.
The Missoula Police Department is getting involved with Special Olympics. Sargent Mark Horner is a mentor to one of the athletes and he explains what that entails.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday, January 28 and 29, the Bitterroot Winter Special Olympics will be held at Lost Trail Powder Mountain. Organizer Carla Christopherson says the all-volunteer event in need of more help.
