Montana rodeo stars gear up for National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, including rookies and veterans ready to shine in various events.

His resume would read like a TV star.

I first ran into Nikki with Canty Boots down at Cowboy Christmas during the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. When I showed up at the Trump Rally in Bozeman, Montana- Nikki was one of the first people I ran into. Oh man- you gotta check out her boots.

Over the weekend, the Canty Boots crew took to Instagram and said it was "Time for my annual post of my favorite post of all time ! When the angels of VS wore Canty Boots and then my gram and her crew reenacted it and SLAYED ."

It was a great NFR for several Montanans over the past couple of weeks. Here's a look at some of the top finishers.

Melstone, Montana saddle bronc rider Sage Newman scored his first-ever NFR paycheck this week at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. We caught up with him in person during Cowboy Christmas Thursday afternoon.

And I got a kick out of this- he says he's not even a gambler. He says it's more fun to watch other people lose money.

We caught up with Jennifer Boka Thursday morning LIVE from Cowboy Christmas at the Las Vegas Convention Center. She is a sports agent who represents a few of the athletes competing in the NFR- including Montana saddle bronc rider Sage Newman and world champion tie down roper Haven Meged.
