Now Democrats are trying to make those benefits a standard part of Medicare under massive legislation expected later this year to advance President Joe Biden’s domestic agenda.

The case against Trandahl began when a former client said that rather than counseling her, Trandahl talked about her own family issues and her efforts to regain custody of her children.

The plan is contingent on approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is part of an existing Department of Public Health and Human Services federal waiver.

The state will not recognize the “fictional liabilities associated with the Medicaid program,” said Raph Graybill, Gov. Steve Bullock’s chief of staff.

An investigation found that from January 2012 through January 2016, Bohlman was billing Medicaid for treatments he was not performing.

It’s estimated that the program could bring about $720 million in federal funding into the state in each of the next two fiscal years.

There’s no marching band on the field, but it is half time, so to speak, at the Montana Legislature this week.

His initial bill called for the state to track their compliance every three months.
