A law passed by the 2019 Legislature to limit the number of specialty plates allows people with discontinued plates to keep them until it’s time to renew their registration.

Montanans now have over 200 specialty license plates to choose from including a newly styled MSU Bobcat Club plate, a Biomimicry Institute plate and a CAN AM Lifeline Search and Rescue themed plate.
