Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock is trying to keep the focus on the pandemic and health care in the race for a Montana U.S. Senate seat. Republican Steve Daines wants to turn the spotlight to the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court.

In an effort to "provide long term viability for the live entertainment industry" in Montana, Governor Steve Bullock announced yesterday (Wednesday 8/12) that he will direct $10 million dollars in Coronavirus Relief to create the Live Entertainment Grant Fund.

The face covering mandate goes into effect immediately for "all public and private school settings in counties with four or more active COVID-19 cases."

Montana Governor Steve Bullock’s Wednesday press conference featured comments on how to successfully hold a wedding in these COVID times, as well as introducing a COVID 19 patient in her 20’s.

Effective immediately, residents in Montana counties that have four or more active COVID-19 cases, will be required to wear a face covering in certain spaces.

The plan gives guidance to schools for academics, extracurricular activities, transportation, and physical and structural protocols to minimize crowds.

Governor Bullock announced today that "immediate measures to ensure social distancing" are being taken as a stay-at-home order goes into place this Saturday (3/28) at 12:01am MDT.

Also in effect immediately, according to the press release, "all non-essential social and recreational gatherings of individuals outside of a home or place of residence of greater than ten people are prohibited."

Montana's K-12 schools will be closed for two weeks beginning tomorrow (Monday 3/16), as directed by Governor Steve Bullock.
