Montana Woman Pleads Guilty To Taking Girl To Sex Offender
HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A Montana woman pleaded guilty to a charge alleging she took a young girl to a convicted sex offender with the knowledge the girl would be molested, court records show.
Kim Feigert of Helena pleaded guilty earlier this month to one felony count of accountability to sexual intercourse without consent, The Independent Record reported Wednesday.
A plea agreement with prosecutors could prompt the dismissal of two additional counts of the felony charge, as well as two felony counts of sexual abuse of children.
As of Wednesday, a judge had not yet approved the plea agreement or ruled whether Feigert will be designated a sexual offender.
Feigert was arrested three years ago after she took the girl to a Helena building where Andrew Douglas Paige was undergoing sex offender treatment.
Feigert transported the girl with the understanding that Paige would sexually assault her in a bathroom, authorities said.
Investigators found photos of the child in a bathroom on Paige’s phone. He and Feigert also discussed the molestation during recorded phone calls Paige made from jail, court documents said.
Feigert was recorded saying the girl “would not tell,” the documents said.
A sentencing hearing for Feigert has been scheduled for Feb. 18. She could face a fine of up to $50,000 and a prison sentence of up to 100 years, which could make her ineligible for parole for 25 years.
Paige is serving a prison sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of children in 2018.
