Montana Grizzly Football Cannot Fly With the Ducks
It was expected to be a lopsided win. And by many accounts it was. But the Montana Grizzlies showed some fight on Saturday night.
Oregon Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert, who is likely to be the first quarterback drafted in the NFL next year, threw five touchdown passes spread out over 48 minutes of play, and the Montana offense struggled to sustain drives, as nationally ranked Oregon handled the Griz 35-3 Saturday night in Eugene, Oregon.
The Griz did a nice job of making the Ducks start deep in their own territory on many of their possessions. There were no one-play, 80-yard touchdown-pass drives. Montana made Oregon earn their five scores and kept their running game in check for a decent amount of the game. But a multi-talented quarterback and one of the nation's best college offensive lines was too much to overcome.
So, lots of positives to take away from a game like this.
