Montana's Attorney General Austin Knudsen (R-MT) has been a guy since he was a kid growing up on the ranch in Northeast Montana. We talked about the highlights from the AG's Forum, and he told us about the coolest guns and gear he's spotting.

First off- big shout out to the 82 Coffee Company in Dillon, Montana's own Tatanka Cigar Company, and the 1776 Foundation for helping to make our coverage from the SHOT Show happen.

We caught up with some incredible folks over the last 24 hours. Daniel Defense had an incredible event Wednesday night. In the photo above, you can see a young veteran named Vann Morris. He delivered a powerful poem in tribute to Old Glory. Scott Aspenlieder and I were saying how we need to bring him back to Montana to deliver the same poem to school kids across the state, and maybe even get him for the big air show featuring the Blue Angels in 2026.

Montana's Attorney General has been coming here long before he was AG.

AG Knudsen: "We love coming to SHOT Show anymore, Aaron, because we come down to see friends that we haven't seen in a year. Yeah, I think I figured out this is my 13th SHOT Show, something like that. I was coming down here before I was ever anything. Christie (Knudsen) and I are gun people. This is what we do. We love the industry, we're competitive shooters. We're hunters, but everybody in Montana hunts. But you know, some people watch football on Sunday, I'm usually at my reloading bench doing something with a firearm."

He hadn't yet gotten a chance to see all of the Montana booths, but what was some of the coolest new guns or gear that AG Knudsen spotted thus far?

AG Knudsen: Both Montana made and literally the coolest thing I've seen so far- Shield Arms, our good friends up in Bigfork...Shield Arms is doing just some really, really fun stuff. Those guys are not sitting on their laurels. They've got a new modular pistol coming out. They just unveiled it.

How does he describe this modular pistol?

AG Knudsen: "It's got a rail that comes out. You can swap out grip modules. You want small grip, you want a big grip. You want- I mean, it's completely modular. It's so cool. They've got a completely new design, new pistol. It's gonna take their S15 magazines, which are fantastic, but it's compact size. It's not a big, full size pistol. I'm really excited about it. They had a ton of people come by their booth and look at it yesterday."

Now I gotta walk over to the booth and check it out.
