I guess he's just not used to seeing something like this where he comes from.

BBC journalist Padraig Belton tweeted his SHOCK at what he found at Walmart.

But then again he has never really looked at the numbers, has he? I'll explain what I mean by that in a moment.

First, let's look at this post that I came across on social media.

You can believe that the majority of people responding were making fun of the guy. A few Americans agreed with him.

 "Rifle and ammunition?"

Has he never seen a BB Gun before?

Does he think someone is actually going to buy one of these and commit horrible acts with them?

Actually, Walmart used to sell a lot more guns than they do now. REAL GUNS! Not BB Guns. It's sad that they don't anymore.

But let's get to those numbers I was talking about.

This guy is from the UK. Where he is from it is hard to buy any kind of gun. They are mostly all banned. Those that can be bought are so heavily regulated it's almost impossible to own them.

Yet the murder rate in the UK has not gone down. It's gone UP.

Since it's hard to get guns people have turned to stabbing each other.

To prove my point here are several stores from UK news service, like this one from the BBC.

There were 43,516 knife crime offences in the 12 months ending March 2019.

This is an 80% increase from the low-point in the year ending March 2014, when there were 23,945 offences, and is the highest number since comparable data was compiled. (BBC).

Knife crime hits all-time high after more than 43,000 offences across England and Wales last year
‘Children are not born with knives in their hands, knife crime is a symptom of a much bigger problem’ (UK Independent).

If you're thinking,'why don't they just pass knife legislation or make knife-free zones?' They have discussed it. They have even tried "drop boxes" where people can turn in their knives.

After murder rate passes NYC, London Mayor Sadiq Khan calls for sharper knife control.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced a crackdown on knives Sunday in response to the rising levels of violence in London, which recently surpassed New York City's homicide rate for the first time.

"No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife," Khan tweeted. "Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law." (USA TODAY).

Yet here in Wyoming, where we have the highest rate of gun ownership, per capita than any other state, our rate of gun violence is far lower than states that have strict gun laws.

The only thing this guy should worry about when he sees some store selling Red Rider BB Guns is that some kid might shoot his eye out.

Wyoming Has Polish MiGs for Ukraine

Not long after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the was talk of Poland giving Ukraine some of their MiG fighter planes.

Poland is now part of NATO. So they were willing to part with the older Russian planes for newer and more hi-tech Western planes.

For several reasons, the deal fell through. Ukraine will not get the planes.

HEY Ukraine!
If you're still interested, Wyoming has a few old Polish MiGs we would be happy to give you.
