Hit-and-run accidents are so annoying. It's bad enough when someone damages your car and takes off, but it's even worse when a bad driver smashes into your business. That's what happened early Tuesday morning at the Muzzleloader Cafe, which shared pictures and footage on a Facebook post.

The Muzzleloader Cafe, at 4912 Laurel Road in Billings captured the incident on an interior security camera. The vehicle struck the building at 4:51 AM, causing serious damage to an exterior wall and destroying sheet rock on the interior.

In the first clip (above) you can see the truck approaching from the northwest, colliding with the building about six seconds into the video. The next clip shows the vehicle reversing from the impact, bouncing over the curb, and driving off.

An expensive repair will be necessary.

We spoke with the Muzzloader owner on Tuesday afternoon, who expressed disappointment over the incident. They also own the Divide restaurant, where someone recently smashed their front door. Hit-and-runs and vandalism seem like a growing issue in Billings.

 A dark, 1999 - 2002 Chevy pickup.

It's tough to see more than a couple of quick glimpses of the pickup truck in the videos, but it appears to be a black, blue, or dark green 1999 - 2002 Chevrolet. It surely has bumper damage, at minimum.

The restaurant remains open while they survey the situation.

A structural engineer was slated to inspect the damage on Tuesday afternoon and repairs will be made as soon as possible. If you have any information regarding the incident, please contact the Muzzleloader at 406-248-8606 or the Billings Police Department non-emergency number at 406-657-8200.
