Officials confirmed that a policy violation report has been submitted to the Dean of Students’ office, which could trigger additional disciplinary action under Montana State’s student conduct process. Consequences could range from warnings to more serious sanctions, depending on the review.

The Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, a landmark on campus, serves as MSU’s premier indoor sports and events facility. It is home to the Bobcat basketball and volleyball programs and regularly hosts concerts, graduation ceremonies, and community gatherings. Due to its size and visibility, the venue is closely monitored, and trespassing is taken seriously.

University officials have not commented further on the incident but emphasized their ongoing focus on campus safety. For students, the situation serves as a reminder that actions taken in the spirit of adventure or mischief can quickly escalate into legal and academic trouble.

Fortunately, the student was injured during the brazen act. Maybe climbing the Brick in the middle of the day wasn't the best idea.
