This just in from the Billings Police Department:

This morning at 3:27 AM, BPD Officers located a person of interest, a 30-year-old male, in an incident that occurred earlier in the night.

The male was in a vehicle traveling north on Zimmerman.

Officers attempted to stop the male at Zimmerman and Highway 3, which started a short pursuit, which was then canceled as speeds increased.

Shortly after the cancelation of the pursuit, the male driver continued east on Highway 3 and suddenly turned towards the rims while traveling fast.

The male drove off the rims, crashing his truck above the residences in the 1100 block of Rimrock Road.

The male was found deceased when officers got to the vehicle, and the male was the only passenger in the truck.

The BPD Crash Team continues to investigate this incident, and this article will be updated as more details are released.
