Tornado, Thunder, Hail And Rain In Billings & Yellowstone Co
Today, the National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Yellowstone County until 5:15 PM, as one such storm was located 10 miles southeast of Laurel, 13 miles south of Billings.
That storm was capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, according to the radar.
Multiple reports came from Laurel of pea-sized hail and heavy rain.
At my house, nearby Grand & 8th, heavy rain was observed.
In the Billings Heights, Jamie Lee Anderson Rindahl also had pea-sized hail.

On the Conquer The Storm Facebook page, a photo was shared of a tornado touching down southeast of Laurel around 4:24 PM today, with more funnels observed.
NWS did not extend the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Yellowstone County, however, Southeastern Montana is in a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 PM tonight around Miles City and Baker, with the possibility of 50 mph wind gusts, and nickel-sized hail.
Earlier today, we were live-on-location at Conlins Furniture off King Avenue West, and the sky did show some wild clouds prior to this weather.
For tonight in Yellowstone County and Billings, the weather is expected to calm down. However, for those in Eastern Montana, you're still in the danger zone until 9 PM tonight.
