The 7 Most Dangerous Towns In Montana
According to many Montanans, crime is on the rise here in Big Sky Country.
As people continue to move to Montana, we've seen an increase in criminal activities such as assault and other violent crimes, drug and human trafficking, and things like theft. For many, it's an alarming trend and has several Montanans questioning what is happening across The Treasure State.
While crime has always been a part of Montana, the fact that many of our towns are being overwhelmed with illegal drugs such as fentanyl and meth has opened eyes and has many wondering what, if anything can be done.
Oh, and by the way, it's not just a big city problem. In fact, according to a recent report some of the most dangerous towns in the state have a population of under 10 thousand residents.
Which Montana towns are the most dangerous?
According to the Southwest Journal which gathered information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. They determined the list by using the population of the towns compared to the number of violent and property crimes.
While it might not come as a big surprise that the most dangerous town in Montana is also the state's biggest (Billings) several other towns made the list that almost rival the amount of crime that takes place in Billings with just a percentage of the population.
While some of the towns on the list might not come as a total shock to Montana residents, a few that made the list just might.
