Montana Is Home To The #1 Animal You DON’T Want To Fight
The age-old game: "Can You Win A Fight VS [INSERT ANIMAL HERE]"
YouGov polled Americans on whether they could win in a fight versus a series of animals in head-to-head matchups. What we discovered is the animal almost all respondents were afraid to fight is found right here in Montana.
And no, it is not an urban deer.
*1950's sounding boxing ring announcer*
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the main event. In the red corner, it's some measly human being who thinks they can take on the best of the best in the animal kingdom. And in the blue corner: the baddest animal that Americans don't want to tussle with...
THE MIGHTY GRIZZLY BEAR
Six percent of Americans thought they could take a grizzly bear in a fight unarmed.
*Record scratch*
Wait, SIX PERCENT OF AMERICANS THINK THEY CAN FIGHT A GRIZZLY BEAR UNARMED AND WIN? ARE YOU ALL INSANE?
That number should be zero percent. There is not a single human being on the face of the earth that is taking a grizzly bear down in a 1-on-1 fight. Not The Mountain from Game of Thrones. Not Brock Lesnar. Not anybody.
If you think you can defeat a bear with your fists you need a major ego check.
On the flipside, 72 percent of Americans think they can beat a rat in a fight. See, that number is too low. We can all defeat a rat in combat unless it's one of those mutant New York rats.
Some other notable responses:
- 69 percent can beat a house cat
- 61 percent can beat a goose
- 17 percent can beat a kangaroo (I think this is high, too)
- 8 percent can beat a gorilla (lol, this is insane. YOU CAN'T BEAT A GORILLA)
Once upon a time, I put together a list of how I would fare against the Big Sky Conference mascots in a fight. I lost most of those hypotheticals.
