Montana Group Looks to Residents for New License Plate Design

As a person with absolutely no graphic design or drawing ability, there isn't a snowball's chance in you know where that I would ever have something like this happen.  But I admit, driving around our state or any state and seeing my design on a Montana license plate?

Yep, that would be pretty darn cool.  And if you are that person that put those ideas in your head to pen and paper, or even mouse and computer screen, a Montana group is hoping you have the right crayons to be able to create their next design for the future.

Montana Group Looks to Residents for New License Plate Design

Recycle Montana, a non-profit group in the state that helps promote our recycling efforts, and to "advise, educate and support individuals, businesses, educators, nonprofits and government in Montana on all waste reduction opportunities, providing and promoting recycling resources and support to community waste reduction efforts across the state."

To help with awareness in the state, the organization has offered a state license plate to residents for purchase to help financially and in promotion.  But that design has been in place for over 20 years, and the group is looking to Montana residents to create something for the future.

How to Create and Submit Your Montana License Plate Design for 2027ge

Submissions for the design are open to all Montana residents, and can be drawn, graphic designs or photography featuring the state.  Other requirements from the group include using the organization's logo, or the common recycle logo.

The Montana Department of Motor Vehicles also has specific stipulations in regard to design of license plate to be offered to the public.  Those details can be found on the DMV application, available here.
