New Curriculum Addresses Human Trafficking In Montana
A new educational initiative was announced here in Montana, addressing the rising concerns of human trafficking.
The Montana Department of Justice developed the "Enlightened" course in collaboration with anti-human trafficking organizations.
The curriculum features survivor insight and inside form agents with the Division of Criminal Investigation.
Montana Huma Trafficking Course
The goal of the "Enlightened" curriculum is to educate students on the realities of human trafficking and Internet crimes against children.
The program includes video presentations, as well as in-class discussion sheets for both parents and teachers.
The course also has numerous testimonials from human trafficking survivors as well as law-enforcement agencies.
Officials hope to empower young Montanans with the knowledge and understanding to recognize the signs of human trafficking, as well as to know the risks.
Anyone interested in the enlightened curriculum can find it on the Montana Department of Justice website.
