Billings, Montana is One of the Most Dangerous Driving Cities in America

We're smack dab in the middle of the 100 Deadliest Days, the most dangerous time period for drivers to be on the road.

Well now we can add another thing to keep in mind as we wind down our summer travel... the most dangerous Montana city to drive in.

Drive Extra Careful in This Montana City!

The folks over at Visual Capitalist compiled a ranking of the most dangerous cities in America to drive in using information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Fatality Analysis Reporting System and Consumer Affairs.

When I first glanced at the list, I honestly didn't expect to see a Montana city make the list but yup - I was wrong.

Now, it didn't make the top of the list, so that's somewhat comforting. That number one spot went to Memphis, Tennessee following by Knoxville at number two.

Rounding out the top five is Waterbury, Connecticut (3), Aurora, Colorado (4), and Tucson, Arizona (5).

At six is Kansas City, Missouri followed by San Bernardino, California at seventh and then... it's none other than Billings, Montana ranked eighth most dangerous city in America for driving.

What in the world is going on in Billings? Is it really that bad?

Information Used to Rank Most Dangerous Cities to Drive In

The scary part about the rankings is how they were ranked.

According to Visual Capitalist, these rankings were based on stats that include impaired driving, distracted driving, "other dangerous behaviors", and fatal crashes caused by speeding.
