Tim Montana enters Billboard charts with “Devil You Know”
Even for a guy who has a "Late Show with David Letterman" appearance and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top in his contacts list, this one is pretty cool. Butte, America's own Tim Montana has taken his latest song, "Devil You Know" into the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. The song debuts on this week's chart at #36.
What's better than having one of our own putting out a single that is on the charts? Having about 80 or so more of our own serving as "extras" in the song's powerful music video. If you haven't checked it out yet, take a look below.
This latest achievement is just the latest in a career that has already seen some impressive moments. We were talking about David Letterman earlier. Tim was the featured musical guest back on an episode back in 2008. For just about any performer out there, a spot on his show would be the highlight of their career. But for Tim it was just a part of a long beginning. Remember how young he looked back in 2008? Back before the beard?
Tim would eventually grow the beard along with a friendship with another bearded phenom, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, with whom Tim would collaborate on a song that the Boston Red Sox would adopt as an anthem during their run to the 2013 World Series title. Remember "This Beard Came Here to Party"?
Tim has been on the charts before, only as a writer. Montana co-penned Kid Rock's hits "Tennessee Moutain Top" which made the top ten of Billboard's "Hot Rock & Alternative Songs" chart in 2017 and "Greatest Show on Earth" which went to #39.
Congratulations, Tim on another huge achievement. But if we know you, this is still just the beginning.
