Former Missoula Mayor to Head State Department of Revenue
HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Gov.-elect Steve Bullock has chosen former Missoula mayor and legislator Mike Kadas to lead the state Department of Revenue.
Bullock made the announcement Thursday as he continues to fill out cabinet and staff positions prior to taking over from Gov. Brian Schweitzer next month. Bullock beat Republican Rick Hill in November's elections.
Bullock says that Kadas' diverse background will serve him well running the Department of Revenue.
Kadas has recently been director of special projects at Rivertop Renewables, a Missoula company that creates environmentally friendly chemicals.
Kadas was mayor of Missoula for 10 years and served in the Montana legislature from 1983 until 1996.
